Job summary

SONOCO CANADA in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Print Planner to support the daily manufacturing plan at our tinplate printing site. The role focuses on administration, material coordination, and plan control to ensure on-time delivery and smooth plant operations.

You will maintain weekly production plans, check tinplate and materials, coordinate with warehouse teams, and manage ERP data aligned with shop-floor activity.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and how they support planning.
• Familiarity with production planning, material control, and data processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer weekly production plans based on orders and material availability.
• Check availability of tinplate and other materials; coordinate with warehouse teams.
• Maintain ERP planning data and ensure integrity with shop-floor activity.
• Track progress against plan and flag deviations.
• Update plans and data during plant meetings and priority changes.
• Monitor shipment status and verify numbers against the production plan.
• Liaise with raw material suppliers to support continuity of supply.
