Adecco are recruiting an experienced print operator with BPSS Clearance for a key multi-national corporate client within the Print industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in reprographics offering high-quality customer service. Located at Petty France.

Working alternate weeks of 8am-4pm/ 9.30am-6pm

£14 per hour

Job Title: Print Room Operator

Reporting To: Print Room Manager/Workflow Coordinator

Job Purpose: Working within a busy department, you will be expected to provide support in the day-to-day workflow within the Print Room, to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of services, to a high standard for all clients in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Primary Duties and responsibilities:

  • High volume copying, printing, and scanning to a high standard
  • To ensure all documents are quality checked according to the processes in place
  • Provide 'first line' fault finding capability on all Print Room machines, prior to placing a service call
  • Take an active role in reconciling and approving invoices relevant to the Print Room
  • Procedure implementation, ensuring all work is completed accordingly
  • Be aware of and strive to achieve performance targets and objectives in relation to the department
  • Ensure continual improvement of team performance against targets and objectives in relation to the department
  • Assist in prioritising the workload to meet client SLA's
  • Undertake stock control and ordering of any stationery items or consumables i.e. dividers, binders, toners etc
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks/duties to support the department as directed by line management

Person Specification

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communicator, both verbally (face-to-face or over the phone) and in writing
  • Able negotiator, effectively dealing with re-arranging deadlines where necessary
  • Time management skills with the ability to plan work to meet challenging, conflicting and /or demanding pressures and deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
  • IT skills in Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe, Prisma Prepare, or similar
  • Proactive, with a keen eye for detail
  • Self- motivated, with a 'can do' attitude
  • Flexible outlook

Experience and Knowledge

  • Relevant reprographics experience and knowledge of high volume copying/scanning equipment
  • Experienced in a customer service/partnering environment; highly customer focused
  • Proven capability in assisting with developing support services to a high standard within a demanding business environment
  • Practical experience of working within a Service-Level Agreement and Key Performance Indicators
  • Experience of change management
  • Specialist knowledge of Facilities services, in particular, experience of working with third-party service providers
  • Awareness of current Copyright Law and controls

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's (to include English and Maths) at Grade C or above (or equivalent) is desirable
