Job description

Job Title: Print Finisher

An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Print companies has come up in the way of a Print Finisher. The company are situated in Sheffield and have won several awards for the work they do!

In terms of the Print Finisher position, some of the duties and responsibilities you would have:

• To ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the Polar Guillotine.
• Reduction of machine down time for make-readies and breakdowns
• Reduction of running times, while still ensuring quality, as measured against quoted targets
• To understand every job and follow lists to ensure all work completed
• To finish every job within allocated time scales and to a high quality, ensuring quality file copies are separated and labelled on every job
• To box and label every job and prepare it for dispatch
• To implement maintenance tasks to plan
• To be responsible for general cleanliness of the finishing department as a part of the daily routine
• To liaise with the Finishing Supervisor to ensure work is completed as required.
• To comply with all Health and Safety and Quality and Environmental Management System policies and procedures adopted by the Company at all times
• To be well presented for work and conduct yourself in a professional and responsible manner at all times
• To fulfil the Company’s requirements with regard to the Company’s Management Information Systems at all times
• To follow all administrative procedures adopted by the Company at all times
• Use proper manual handling practices when lifting / stacking paper
• Must be used to working at a fast pace

Salary, shifts, holidays and overtime:

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience (for example someone that is able to run multiple finishing machines would be looking at the higher end)

Shifts: For this particular role it would be a double day shift 6am- 1:30pm / 1:30pm – 9pm

Holidays: 28 days including BH

Overtime is available regularly for those that want it.
