Job description

Print Designer

Our Harrods Own Label team are seeking a dynamic and innovative Print Designer.

This role involves the research, design, and delivery of exceptional print concepts for our products and packaging, aligning with our department strategy and key deadlines.

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for playing a crucial role in shaping our print strategy, ensuring collections are innovative, market-leading, and aligned with seasonal trends.

  1. Create innovative, premium-quality print designs for products and packaging, drawing on global trends and customer insights.
  2. Demonstrate expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with strong skills in layout, retouching, and digital asset creation.
  3. Collaborate with Designers, Buyers, and Technologists to ensure right-first-time, commercially impactful designs.
  4. Manage projects efficiently, meeting deadlines while upholding industry best practices.
  5. Shape seasonal print strategies, identify emerging trends, and develop mood boards to guide design direction.
  6. Adapt and evolve designs in response to sales data and market opportunities.
  7. Oversee colour selection, print methods, and materials to achieve high-quality, production-ready outcomes.
  8. Communicate with suppliers and freelance creatives to ensure timely, accurate, and technically sound samples.
  9. Maintain strong commercial awareness to identify and capitalize on bestselling design opportunities.
  10. Support in-season trade with responsive updates and fresh, innovative ideas.
  11. Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture while mentoring junior designers in both creative and commercial growth.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while delivering quick turnarounds. Your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive newness in our offerings will be essential. This position requires a proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail, exceptional creativity, and strong organizational skills.

  1. In-depth understanding of the bridge/luxury retail landscape.
  2. High level of creativity, innovation, and taste.
  3. Strong leadership and organizational skills with a flexible, solution-oriented approach.
  4. Confident in challenging the status quo and advocating for design excellence.
  5. Positive, can-do attitude with strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
