Qualifications

  • Manage digital colour projects and equipment calibration.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of plate and usage data.

Job description

Saica are recruiting for a Print Colour Coordinator

Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Salary: £30,000 plus attractive benefits package
Contract: Full time, 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Shifts: Monday – Friday 8.30-16.30

About the role

This role involves coordinating the Saica Flex Buxton colour management system and working closely with Sun Chemicals to ensure customer colour targets are accurate. Responsibilities include building and maintaining the digital colour library, supporting internal teams, and managing colour-related queries.

Minimum requirements:

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Xrite experience
  • Knowledge of EFI PECAS
  • Experience in the printing industry, preferably with colour
  • Qualifications in Print and/or colour
  • Background in flexographic printing, lamination, or cold seal packaging
  • Understanding of H&S standards and food industry quality standards

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sun Chemicals to build and maintain the colour library
  • Add digital pantone colours and instructions for new designs
  • Allocate digital colour data and add print profiles
  • Create physical colour standards as needed
  • Support job control and archiving processes
  • Manage digital colour projects and equipment calibration
  • Work with Sun Chemicals on colour matching and new requirements
  • Update colour targets and instructions for new designs
  • Ensure accurate reporting of plate and usage data
  • Support production and technical testing activities
