PRINT ASSISTANT / TRAINEE PRINTER - FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

Salary 28,712 + Pension + Healthcare

COMMUTABLE AREAS: GREATER MANCHESTER, CHESHIRE, LANCASHIRE

ROTATING SHIFTS: 4X Days 6am - 6pm / 3X Nights 6pm - 6pm NO WEEKENDS

My Client is a leading flexible packaging manufacturer supplying a range of film, bags, laminates and pouches for food markets throughout the UK.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Print Assistant / Trainee Printer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the flexible packaging industry however my client is open to other areas of packaging / print environment as they will offer training!

Role / Responsibilities:

• Proactively plan to ensure that work schedules are achieved.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and general tidiness within the working environment while strictly adhering to Health & Safety policies.
• Report any faulty materials or equipment promptly to the Team Leader and Engineering department.
• Be prepared to work in any part of the production facility, provided the relevant training has been given.
• Ensure adequate supplies of raw materials are available for the following shift.
• Remain constantly vigilant for process or quality faults, conducting thorough examinations of materials at the end of each reel. Additionally, support line management in undertaking appropriate remedial actions to correct any faults.
• Assist in the delivery of agreed company training plans to develop skills to the required standards.
• Actively participate in developing world-class manufacturing principles and assist with their implementation within the designated team.
• Consistently maintain high standards of work.
• Control hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Take ownership and responsibility for materials and ensure efficient work schedules are maintained.
