Job summary

Eurostampa in Cumbernauld is seeking a Print Assistant to join our PSL team on a permanent basis. The role involves preparing the press, assisting with printing, setting up new jobs, and maintaining machine performance to ensure high-quality labels.

You will thrive in a manual, physical role with shift flexibility; we value accuracy, reliable timekeeping, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a print-based production environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a crew.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Making ready the press for jobs – checking all elements including paper, ink, plates, rollers etc. are correct and in place.
• Assist the printer on press to ensure labels are printed to the highest quality.
• Preparing materials for set up of new jobs.
• Problem-solving to ensure the efficient running of the printing press.
• Fitting printing plates to machine.
• Ensuring procedures are followed at all times.
• Assisting with regular general maintenance of the machine.
• Ensuring machinery and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.
• All other duties as and when required.

We are looking for an experienced Print Assistant to join our PSL (Pressure Sensitive Labels) team. If you have an exceptional eye for detail, a deep understanding of printing processes and experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Making ready the press for jobs – checking all elements including paper, ink, plates, rollers etc. are correct and in place
• Assist the printer on press to ensure labels are printed to the highest quality
• Preparing materials for set up of new jobs
• Problem-solving to ensure the efficient running of the printing press
• Fitting printing plates to machine

• All other duties as and when required

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to work on own initiative & collectively as a crew
• Proficient in numeracy & literacy
• Reliable & possess an excellent timekeeping/attendance record.
• Flexible approach to changing work priorities and an ability to work to strict deadlines
• Experience working in a print based production environment

Please note, this role will involve heavy manual handling and treble shift working. Flexibility is required for this role as shift patterns may vary in line with business needs.
