Principal Business Analyst / Remote (UK) with travel to Leeds / up to £90,000 + Benefits

We're hiring a Principal Business Analyst for a fast-growing SaaS company as they enter a crucial beta-to-launch product phase. This is a brand-new role, providing you with the chance to shape the function from the ground up and partner closely with engineering, product, and leadership to drive delivery clarity and quality.

What are we looking for?

* Proven experience in a Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role

* Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and system integrations

* Proficiency with tools like Miro, Lucidchart or similar

* Excellent communication + stakeholder management skills

* Agile experience with Jira/Confluence or equivalents

* Bonus: SaaS, microservices architecture, Azure knowledge

Role Overview:

You'll work across product planning, technical design, and solution delivery - acting as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. The goal? Reduce ambiguity, speed up delivery, and improve how features are scoped and shipped.

Key Focus Areas:

* Write detailed, technically accurate user stories with edge cases + acceptance criteria

* Create system diagrams (sequence, architecture, data flow)

* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product managers

* Analyse complex systems and translate business needs into scalable tech solutions

* Lead improvements in the discovery and delivery process
