Job summary

A leading company is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer to support planning services within a local authority in Doncaster. This role involves managing complex planning applications, contributing to policy development, and advising on relevant matters. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Planning and significant local authority experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Planning or equivalent with RTPI membership preferred.
• Significant local authority experience in planning policy and/or major applications.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of major and complex planning applications.
• Contribute to policy development and advise on CIL/S106 matters.
• Support enforcement and appeals work.

Job Title: Principal Planning Officer

Location: Doncaster

Rate: £50 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract: 6 months

ARM is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer to support planning services within a local authority in Doncaster. The role involves managing a caseload of major and complex planning applications, contributing to policy development, advising on CIL/S106 matters, and supporting enforcement and appeals work.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Planning (or equivalent) and RTPI membership (or working towards it)
• Significant local authority experience in planning policy and/or major applications
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
• Supervisory experience preferred
