Job Role: Senior OR Principal Engineer
Location: Leeds
Opportunity: Permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000

I currently have an opportunity for an ambitious Senior Civil Structural Engineer with design experience to join an agile, successful, and fast-growing business where your achievements and commitment will be appreciated and rewarded.

With multiple offices across the UK, this client is an innovative, forward-thinking Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy working on a wide variety of projects within railway infrastructure, buildings, temporary works, bridges, and geotechnics.

You'll join a tight-knit team in a brand new office, working with other offices and teams across different projects.

Key responsibilities for this Senior Civil Structural Engineer role:

1. Working within a team of Engineers and Technicians, including mentoring junior members.
2. Designing civil and structural schemes and checking designs prepared by others, including producing detailed calculations by hand and through computer models.
3. Carrying out inspections, site surveys, and assessments of structures and preparing reports.
4. Taking ownership of own projects across rail, civils, bridges, and complex temporary works.
5. Planning and managing project programmes, workload, and resources.
6. Liaising with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverables.

Key requirements for this Senior Civil Structural Engineer role:

1. Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
2. 4 - 10 years' experience within UK engineering industry.
3. Experience within the Rail or Civils industry.
4. Strong technical knowledge within assessment and design, including inspections, calculations, and analysis of existing structures and new build design development.
5. Full driving license and own transport.
6. Client-focused approach with effective interpersonal and communication skills.

1. Salary up to £60,000.
2. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off.
