As a Principal Waste Water Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in process engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects both domestically and internationally.

Our expertise spans all aspects of process engineering within the water industry, including waste-water and bioresources treatment, and extends to other sectors like nuclear. We support projects from feasibility through to process commissioning, providing industry-leading solutions. Currently, we have opportunities in our Leeds office.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team in technical design work following relevant standards and codes, maintaining high quality.
  2. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  3. Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones.
  4. Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  5. Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards in design.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
  2. Experience leading multidisciplinary design delivery.
  3. Understanding of integrated waste-water and bioresources treatment processes.
  4. Design and operational experience with treatment units: primary, secondary, tertiary, bioresources, odour, and energy management.
  5. Knowledge of process safety techniques (HAZOP / DSEAR), cost assessments, carbon assessments, and UK environmental regulations.
  6. Familiarity with process modelling software such as BioWin, SUMO.
