An opportunity for a Principal Warhead Engineer at a leading defence organization, requiring expertise in engineering or science. You will engage in complex programmes on warhead research and development for missile projects. An opportunity has arisen in the Complex Warhead Centre of Excellence (CW CofEx) for a Principal Warhead Engineer working on varied and complex programmes, in multi-disciplined teams, on warhead research, design development and manufacture for MBDA's missile programmes.
Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Within this role you'll be working with specialists in design, trials, modelling & simulation, explosives, lethality and systems engineering. There is huge scope to develop your existing skills and experience within this role.
As a Principal Warhead Engineer you'll be responsible for delivering varied and complex tasks throughout the lifecycle of MBDA UK's Missile Programmes, and early lifecycle research & development for UK MoD and as part of the company's IRAD portfolio.
MBDA UK works closely with its supply chain for many activities including co-development, manufacture, trials & test, and specialist simulation tools. Suppliers and partners include major industrial, SMEs, academia and government agencies.
You'll be working closely with suppliers and partners in the Munitions and Explosives domain, building effective working relationships to ensure successful completion and delivery. Working in accordance with company procedures and in an organised, structured and transparent way to ensure delegated tasks are delivered safely and to time, cost and quality.
As part of the role you would be expected to travel within the UK and occasional travel to Europe.
