Job summary

Carrington West are assisting a local authority client in Essex to recruit a Principal Planning Validations Officer for the Planning Support team in Town Planning on a 3 month contract. The role involves training two new officers, processing and validating new planning applications and suggesting process improvements.

The position is offered on a hybrid basis with weekly office presence; IT equipment will be provided. Pay rate is £35 per hour (DOE).

Qualifications

• Experience in planning validation processes.
• Ability to train junior staff in validation tasks.
• Knowledge of local authority planning workflows.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
