Job summary

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client in the Midlands to recruit a Planning Support Officer/Validations Officer for their Town Planning department. The role involves validating planning applications, checking submissions, advising applicants and the public, and liaising with multiple departments.

Start is almost immediate with a pay rate of £30 to £35 per hour (negotiable by experience).

Responsibilities

• Validating and processing planning applications against check lists and guidance.
• Provide information, guidance and advice to applicants, agents and the public.
• Respond to correspondence and enquiries within corporate timescales.
• Liaise with development management, planning policy and other departments.
• Cover for absent team members and undertake similar duties as required.
