Job description

Access Talent Group are recruiting for a Transport Planning consultancy who work on projects across the UK and overseas. You will be given the opportunity to accelerate your career by working alongside industry experts, within an inclusive and caring company environment. They are looking to recruit a Principal Transport Planner to support teams in Birmingham, Manchester, London, and Nottingham. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, people-oriented individuals, with strong report-writing, research, and analytical skills, and a desire to quickly move into a position of responsibility. Importantly, you should share our belief that transport planners have a responsibility to help create more sustainable places.

The role:
  1. Manage projects for local authorities and private sector clients under the guidance of the Project Director.
  2. Start taking a leading role within a defined technical area.
  3. Manage time effectively, working with colleagues to deliver to scope and budget.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping to secure new work.
  5. Proactively contribute to company growth through business development activities.
  6. Inspire and develop less-experienced members of staff by freely sharing your knowledge.
  7. Travel across the UK and internationally.
  8. Exceptional transport planning technical skills and experience in areas of relevance to ITP.
  9. A sound understanding of transport policy and current issues in the UK and/or internationally.
  10. Knowledge and skills to extract and analyse complex data sets to derive valuable insights.
  11. A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals.
  12. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
