Our client is looking for a Principal Transport Planner with extensive development planning experience to join their team in London. They are an independent transport and infrastructure planning consultancy known for an exciting working environment and collaborative culture. They work with high-profile clients on a wide range of projects across the UK and overseas in both private and public sectors, focusing on residential, urban regeneration, commercial, land, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-modal access strategies and designs for various development and public sector transport projects
• Conduct site visits, corridor and area walking and cycling assessments, participate in public consultations
• Prepare technical notes, reports, transport assessments, travel plans, delivery and service plans, and other assessments
• Perform capacity or other technical analyses using tools like Picady, Arcady, Linsig, and Vissim
• Analyze designs through swept path analysis and application of design standards
• Engage in initial concept/feasibility studies for large masterplan sites
• Support the delivery of transport elements in complex planning applications and detailed design and access strategies on-site
