  • Provide expert advice on access, servicing, parking, active travel and public transport strategies to support development proposals.
  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and statutory bodies through pre-application discussions and planning consultations.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Represent clients at planning committees, appeals, and public consultations as required.
  • Provide technical and strategic input to masterplans, site layouts, and development frameworks.

Team and Technical Leadership:

  • Mentor junior staff and provide quality assurance across deliverables.
  • Support resource planning, work allocation, and technical training within the team.
  • Promote best practices in sustainable transport and integrated land use planning.

Business Development:

  • Contribute to winning new work through preparation of bids, fee proposals, and client presentations.
  • Maintain a strong network within the development and planning industry to identify new opportunities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Town Planning, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • Typically 8+ years of professional experience in transport planning, with a strong focus on development planning.
  • Extensive experience delivering transport inputs to support planning applications in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant national and local transport and planning policy frameworks (e.g. NPPF, LTN 1/20).
  • Proficiency in modelling and analysis tools (e.g. TRICS, Junctions 10, LinSig, AutoCAD, GIS).
