WSP is seeking a Principal Transport Planner in Liverpool to lead and manage various transport projects, work collaboratively with clients, and contribute to innovative transport strategies. We are seeking a Principal Transport Planner based in Liverpool to:
You will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with our Net Zero, Future Mobility and Freight growth areas on a range of innovative strategies for our public sector clients, as well as our extensive range of expertise practice groups, including Public Transport, Active Travel and Transport Communications.
Your Team
Our Liverpool Transport Planning Team sits within a wider team of over 100 people across the North, Midlands and Scotland, with close links to Manchester, North Wales and our southern transport planning team. We also work closely with our colleagues in Net Zero, Future Mobility, Liveable Places and Development Planning.
We deliver a wide range of transport planning projects for our clients, as well as an extensive portfolio of multi-disciplinary and cross-sector services, including (but not limited to): active travel solutions; public transport network planning; scheme development and appraisal; business case development and Government funding applications for all types of transport schemes; economic appraisal; carbon appraisal and management; consultation and engagement and transport strategy and policy development. You may have broad experience that spans across these areas, or you may be a specialist in one or more. We can help you to broaden your experience or deepen your specialist skill areas in line with your career aspirations.

We have a strong local and regional pipeline of work and the successful applicant will help us to deliver challenging and exciting work for a range of national and regional clients, predominantly Combined and Local Authorities.
We are based at Exchange Station in Liverpool City Centre. We support flexible working arrangements and the majority of our team split their time between working in the office, spending time with our clients and working from home.
