Stantec in Birmingham is seeking a Principal Transport Planner to lead a growing city-scale transport planning team. Based in our Birmingham office, you will spearhead development and infrastructure projects, guiding early concept through to delivery and mentoring junior staff.

You will build strong client relationships, manage projects and budgets, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver low-carbon transport solutions that foster sustainable communities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in transport planning, ideally within the land development sector.
• Proven leadership, project delivery and client management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive approach and a passion for innovation and the future of low-carbon transport.
• A degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in our continued growth, helping to shape the delivery of a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure projects while supporting the growth of our talented team.

Based in our Birmingham office, you'll work on a wide range of projects, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative transport planning solutions that help create sustainable communities.

About The Role

Reporting to the Transport Director, you'll lead the delivery of projects from early concept through to completion while supporting the development of our Transport Planning business.

You Will

• Lead the delivery of transport planning projects across development and infrastructure schemes.
