At Amazon, we're working to be the most Customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to improve is how we fulfill and deliver orders. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by ensuring their orders are delivered where and when needed, quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively. Amazon strives to innovate and provide top-tier service through pioneering products and services in last mile delivery.
Are you interested in joining a rapidly scaling Amazon organization with diverse operational challenges? Do you want to be at the core of the supply chain for one of Amazon Logistics' most critical resources?
We are seeking a proactive Principal who excels in stakeholder management and external third-party coordination to join the EU AMZL Global Fleet Product, Fleet Planning team.
As Head of Fleet Supply Planning Transformation, you will lead supply planning for Last Mile Rentals, a program transforming from a ‘push’ fleet planning model based on individual DSP demand forecasts to a ‘pull’ model utilizing a shared pool of vans. This approach aims to address demand variability and vehicle contingencies.
The Principal, LMR Supply Planning, will leverage expertise to design mechanisms aligning with strategic fleet scale and efficiency goals. This includes assessing demand variability, planning accuracy, and collaborating with diverse internal and external partners. You will conduct reviews with senior stakeholders for approval of transfer orders and peak readiness, influencing CAPEX/OPEX decisions.
Success depends on anticipating risks, designing supply chain solutions (e.g., rent vs lease), and implementing them across countries. Key challenges include developing a sustainable LMR supply base, balancing stakeholder goals amidst high ambiguity, and establishing governance mechanisms for transfer approvals post-rollout.
