Job Description:

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer (Remote, UK)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a balanced mix of home working and onsite presence for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions in a collaborative environment, contributing to critical infrastructure connectivity and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have prior experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and are looking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing traffic signal solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
