Senior Design Engineer Traffic Signals

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems for high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence, ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision.
• Design technical specifications for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures.
• Oversee the creation of new product or service ideas and design plans.
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and Datasets.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.
• Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings and are looking to advance to a Senior Design Engineer role, bringing fresh perspectives to Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications.
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking.
• Experience with LinSig 3.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
