Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical infrastructure, helping to keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
  • Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
  • Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
  • Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
  • Ensure compliance with design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
  • Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and is looking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing a fresh perspective to existing solutions within Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
  • Understanding of MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
  • Familiarity with LinSig 3
  • Full UK Driving Licence
