Principal Test Engineer

Our Government client is seeking multiple Principal Test Engineers with "Head of QA" level experience. The role is INSIDE IR35, with a hybrid travel requirement to London. SC clearance is required but can be sponsored, provided the candidate is eligible.

Essential Skills

Candidates should have a demonstrable passion for Test Engineering and experience or skills in:

1. Working at senior leadership level, establishing and maintaining organizational networks, and engaging with other senior leaders.
2. Leading a technical service or team of test engineers.
3. Developing organizational test approaches for Quality Engineering, CI/CD, and release management within complex agile environments.
4. Understanding and experience with cloud services, microservice architecture, performance quality engineering, observability, Infrastructure as Code, and SRE principles.
5. Setting strategic direction for test automation frameworks, test infrastructure, environment optimization, virtualization, and containerization.
6. Designing, building, deploying, and improving test engineering capabilities supporting QAT strategies.
7. Deploying a broad range of tools and techniques, including open-source technologies, with experience in scaling quality engineering and modern programming languages like Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Python.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with AI, particularly for QAT activities.
• Experience in Data Science and Data Analytics.
