Job summary

The University of Portsmouth is seeking a Principal Test Analyst to lead testing for the Finance Transformation programme, including the Oracle Fusion replacement. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, with hybrid working available in Portsmouth.

The Role:

As Principal Test Analyst, you will lead the testing activity for the University of Portsmouth's Finance Transformation Programme, supporting the implementation of Oracle Fusion as a replacement for the current E5 system. Working with internal teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, you will define and deliver the testing strategy, ensuring solutions are robust, fit for purpose and meet business requirements.

You will oversee functional and non-functional testing, manage defect resolution and quality assurance activities, and provide clear reporting to support programme decision-making. The role also drives the adoption of best-practice testing approaches, automation and emerging technologies, while contributing to continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle and wider digital transformation agenda. Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a couple of days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.

Salary Information: New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe.
