About the job:
Based in Northwood, United Kingdom you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Northwood, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM). CSU Northwood enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Technician (Cyber Security) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
• Provides cyber security advice and Level 1 support as required;
• Implements security settings at the local level;
• Executes the security incident management process;
• Conducts vulnerability assessments within policy guidelines and as directed;
• Responsible for the monitoring and support of assigned systems and portions of the networks including the support to local cyber security training and awareness programs;
• Contributes to and supports the CIS security accreditation process and associated activities as required (e.g., ensuring Site Security Compliance, drafting Security Operating Procedures, etc.);
• Acts as the alternate CIS Security Officer;
• Acts as the alternate Crypto Custodian and Communications Security (COMSEC) Subject Matter Expert for unit and operational partners.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years cyber-related experience or alternatively a secondary educational qualification with 5 years cyber-related experience.
• Experience dealing with security incidents and interpreting CIS security auditing tool results;
• Experience with Wireless LAN technologies and Endpoint Security of mobile devices such as Laptops, Apple iOS devices (tablets and smartphones);
• Knowledge and experience using Trellix ePO and associated components (i.e., Trellix Agent, Endpoint Security Platform, Threat Prevention, Advance Threat Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Application Control, etc.);
• Experience in conducting risk assessments;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
