About Sanderson's Wynd

Sanderson's Wynd is a vibrant and inclusive community. The school has 12 mainstream classes and 4 specialist provision classes within our Hub. We seek an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Principal Teacher to join us temporarily. Applicants should be confident in sharing their practice with colleagues and have experience in leading learning and practice, either as an experienced class teacher or Acting PT. Job Details

The duties of Principal Teachers, subject to school and Council policies, include tasks as directed by the Head Teacher, with focus on:

  1. Curricular development and quality assurance
  2. Contributing to school policy on behaviour management
  3. Managing and guiding colleagues, reviewing CPD needs, career development, and performance
  4. Providing advice, support, and guidance to colleagues
  5. Leading and managing pastoral care and staff development
  6. Implementing policies on guidance, pastoral care, assessment, and pupil welfare
  7. Working with colleagues, parents, and agencies
  8. Sharing best practices and advancing the School Improvement Plan
  9. Participating in school administration

PVG Membership:
