South Ayrshire Council is looking for a Principal Teacher to guide and oversee the educational team's strategic direction. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement while ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and students. The role is temporary until June 2026, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
To be responsible for the leadership, good management, and strategic direction of colleagues. The successful candidate must be committed to critical self-evaluation and be fully responsible for duties allocated to the post of Principal Teacher.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a member, prior to any formal employment offer.
