Job Description

This Principal Systems Engineer role reports to the Project Engineering Lead and works closely with the Systems Design Authority within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include working across Technology Readiness Levels, building on existing products, supporting design reviews, and engaging with customers.


Candidate requirements include:

  • Experience in designing complex products
  • Systems design knowledge, including Electronics, Mechanical, and Software
  • Experience across the development lifecycle
  • Trade-off analysis expertise
  • Security Check (SC) UK EYES clearance eligibility

This hybrid role offers flexibility with work location options and occasional UK and international travel. Primary locations are Greenford or Weymouth, with full-time remote work possible with occasional onsite visits.


The interview process involves two stages: an initial video call with the Head of Systems Engineering, followed by a panel interview with the Chief Engineer and Project Manager.
