Principal Systems Engineer

12 month min contract
Luton - 80-100% on-site working
£75ph - £85ph Umbrella / £55ph - £65ph PAYE (Inside IR35)

We have an opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Combat Air line of business for a twelve-month Contract as part of the team working on our systems for Typhoon. This role will focus on supporting the development of systems for Typhoon Defensive Aids Systems. A role within the team will provide exposure to EW products and subject-matter experts with expertise within domain, product, and technology fields.

What you will do - Principal Systems Engineer

1. Engaging with stakeholders, defining requirements for a new system
2. Conducting cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluation of proposed solutions
3. Designing and integrating new functionality into an existing system
4. Modelling a system to understand observed simulated performance
5. Development of capability within limitations and constraints of the target hardware
6. Creation of Test Plans and Requirements for Verification and Validation of sub-systems
7. Creation of Integration Plans for unit integration into the full system
8. Technical Discussions with suppliers and customers
9. Document management to support design review activities
