Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for contracted work across Barrow, Portsmouth Broadoak, or Filton. The role focuses on capturing requirements and delivering compliant technical solutions within programme processes, with a 12-month duration and a two-days-per-fortnight schedule.

The candidate should have extensive Model Based Systems expertise, full lifecycle experience, and ideally defence sector exposure to thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and expertise of Model Based Systems.
• Full lifecycle experience required.
• Defence experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Capture and agreed technical requirements in accordance with company and programme processes.
• Deliver compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulations.
• Deliver design documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes.
• Deliver design change requirements and documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes.
• Provide engineering LCM adherence for all deliverables, Sub Contract Design Reviews and relevant input to project LCM activities.
• Provide engineering Lifecycle Management (LCM) adherence for all deliverables, Sub Contract Design Reviews and relevant input to project LCM activities.

Working Arrangements: 2 days per fortnight

Hourly Rate: £58 PAYE or £78.33 Umbrella

Duration: 12 months
