Principal Systems Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to strengthen our Systems Engineering team. This role involves leading and delivering complex projects in areas such as:

• Bid Support
• Technical Leadership and Stakeholder Management
• Requirements Engineering using a Model-driven approach
• Architectural Development at enterprise and system levels
• Technical Specification and Interface Definition
• Compliance Argument Management
• Promoting Systems Engineering best practices through training and mentoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical aspects of client projects and produce complex technical documentation
• Resolve technical problems and advise clients and partners
• Build and maintain positive client relationships and negotiate scope changes
• Oversee Systems Engineering documentation ensuring accuracy and satisfaction
• Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks, communicating effectively
• Support project management and bid activities
• Provide technical leadership and monitor project progress

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in Requirements Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering
• Familiarity with Architectural Frameworks such as NATO Architecture Framework (NAF), TOGAF, UML, and SysML
• Experience with tools like Enterprise Architect, MooD, DOORS, and Paradigm
• Strong persuasive and influential skills in technical solutions
• Ability to lead technically and introduce new methodologies
• Strong analytical, creative, and decision-making skills
• Excellent presentation skills for large external groups
• Adaptability to apply previous project experience to new technologies
