Principal Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Coventry – Hybrid working available

Salary: £55,000 - £60,500

*This role offers assisted relocation to candidates currently residing more than 40 miles from the role location. Successful candidates will be eligible for financial compensation to support housing costs if relocating within 40 miles of the Coventry site*

Ready to lead the future of digital systems engineering? We’re looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to bring Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to life across complex submarine projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the modelling of system requirements, design, analysis, and validation

• Shape the modelling of customer/user needs and translate them into engineering artefacts

• Ensure the end-to-end integration of MBSE models with wider submarine systems

• Support bids and proposals with technical estimates and plans

• Guide and mentor engineers in MBSE practices

Your Skills and Experience:

• Deep expertise in MBSE within defence or maritime sectors

• Strong grasp of the engineering lifecycle, from concept to validation

• Skilled in SysML and tools like Enterprise Architect (EA)

• Familiar with safety, environmental, and engineering compliance standards
