Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant specializing in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices across the UK.

Your role will include:
  • Leading technical and project delivery for grid-scale/Front of the Meter renewable energy and storage projects, mainly battery and solar power, with experience in other technologies beneficial.
  • Overseeing project delivery within your portfolio.
  • Managing and developing client relationships.
  • Managing project finances.
  • Resource management for the team.
  • Leading, recruiting, and developing team members.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

  • Grid connection processes for renewable projects (20-500MW scale)
  • Renewable energy and storage project development, including market and revenue opportunities
  • Technical knowledge of PV, Wind, Hydro, Anaerobic Digestion, Battery Storage, Hydrogen
  • Liaison with TNO/DNO at various project stages
  • Working with developers as a technical lead
  • Planning processes for various development scales
  • Supply chain and partner engagement
  • Understanding industry changes and opportunities

Desirable but not essential experience includes:

  • Business development
  • Team operations and resource planning
  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Process and technical improvements
