Principal Sustainability Consultant (Renewable Energy), Glasgow

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant specializing in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence across the UK, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices.

Your role will include:

• Leading technical and project delivery for grid-scale/Front of the Meter renewable energy and storage projects, mainly battery and solar power, with experience in other technologies beneficial.
• Overseeing project delivery within your portfolio.
• Managing and developing key client relationships.
• Handling project finances and resource management.
• Leading, recruiting, and developing team members.

Candidate requirements:

Experience in:

• Grid connection processes for renewable projects (20-500MW scale).
• Renewable energy and storage development, including market and revenue streams.
• Technical knowledge of PV, Wind, Hydro, Battery Storage, Hydrogen, etc.
• Stakeholder engagement with TNO/DNO and other partners.

Beneficial but not essential:

• Business development in renewables.
• Team operations and resource planning.
• Managing junior staff and process improvements.
