We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant specialising in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices across the UK.

Your Role Will Include

• Acting as the technical and project lead for grid-scale/Front of the Meter (FTM) renewable energy generation and storage consultancy projects, primarily battery and solar power-based.
• Overseeing project delivery for your portfolio of schemes.
• Managing and developing key client relationships.
• Handling the commercial management of projects.
• Resource management for the team.
• Team leadership, recruitment, and development.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed, you should have experience in:

• Distribution and Transmission grid connection processes for renewable developments (c20-500MW).
• Renewable energy and storage development, including market and commercial structures.
• Revenue opportunities in grid services and ancillary markets.
• Technical knowledge of renewable and energy storage technologies such as PV, Wind, Hydro, Battery Storage, Hydrogen.
• Stakeholder engagement with TNO/DNO and other industry partners.
• Working with developers as a technical lead.
• Knowledge of planning processes for various development scales.

Experience in:

• Business development and sales in renewables.
• Team operations and resource planning.
• Managing and developing junior staff.
