Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Surveyor -Fire Risk Assessment to join the team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, fixed term contract basis and will receive a salary of £49,000 - £59,000 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
As the Principal Surveyor -Fire Risk Assessment, you will provide contract management skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and timely communication with customers to deliver a ‘best in class’ investment service. This post to help to deliver the HIGH HIGH priority works programme identified post Grenfell fire on Peabody Stock and is a high priority for delivery before end of March 2022.
Skills/experience required by the Principal Surveyor -Fire Risk Assessment:
- experience of reviewing, prioritising, programming and delivering work in response to Fire Safety Risk Assessments.
- experience in successfully motivating and managing a team of professional and technical staff.
- Strong knowledge of work related to fire safety, building construction, best practice and Regulations.
- Working knowledge of current forms of building contract and implementation.
- experience of setting, managing and monitoring budgets, implement action plans to address adverse variances.
- Ability and experience of managing competing priorities in an often-pressured environment.
- Technical expertise sufficient to understand complex issues in construction, engineering and maintenance.
Qualifications required by the Principal Surveyor -Fire Risk Assessment:
- Building Surveying or Construction Management Degree, MRICS, CCIOB, MIEE, CIBSE.
