Summary:

JAB Recruitment is currently looking to source a Principal Consultant – Supply Chain Management (SCM) on behalf of our Operator client, a global energy company focused on delivering safe, sustainable, and cost-effective energy solutions. The successful candidate will support procurement and contract management activities across global business services, with a strong focus on renewable-specific third-party services. This role requires an experienced supply chain professional with a strategic mindset, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a solid understanding of procurement processes within the energy sector.

Role Overview:

Global Business Support procurement, Third Party Business and project support services with particular focus on renewable-specific services such as Studies, Permitting/Consenting, Owners Engineering services, Reviews, Verifications, etc.

Responsible for providing strategic as well as operational procurement and contract management in line with category strategies. The process includes ensuring compliance with corporate governance, mandates, laws, and regulations through development and documentation of scopes, specific procurement strategies, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, contract negotiations, approvals, award, contract management, handling of claims and warranties, and purchasing. Effective project and stakeholder management through collaboration and clear roles and responsibilities with customers, decision makers, suppliers, and partners. The outcomes are commercial and effective contracts and procedures serving timely, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of goods and services to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish agreement: Establish Specific Procurement Strategies according to business need, relevant Category Strategies, and market input.
  • Produce and issue request for information (RFI).
  • Establish bidders list.
  • Prepare evaluation procedures.
  • Establish, issue, and manage enquiries.
  • Handle bid clarifications and conduct bid clarification meetings.
  • Plan and conduct negotiations.
  • Perform evaluation and agreement award, including partner approval.

Agreement start-up activities, including:

  • Implement contract(s) in all systems (Plan-to-Pay).
  • Provide input to risk-based follow-up plans to ensure agreement understanding and compliance.

Manage performance and relations, including:

  • Safeguard correct use of the contract and follow up on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Ensure SOX-control compliance.
  • Handle contractual issues, changes in agreements, including Variation Order Requests (VOR), variation orders (VO), amendments, options, and requests for rate adjustments.
  • Perform cancellation and termination of contracts.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships as well as supplier relations.
