Job summary

LMR Resourcing Limited is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer for a contract role in West Wales. The successful candidate will lead on onshore structural design for oil & gas, petrochemical, and renewable energy projects, working across concept to detailed design stages and interfacing with multiple disciplines.

The role requires strong knowledge of foundations, pipe supports and platforms, with attention to codes, client specs and QA.

Qualifications

This role requires a degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
Chartered status preferred but not essential.
Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors or similar.
Knowledge of Revit.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed engineering specifications and design documentation.
Review and approve calculations, technical specifications, scope packages, and design drawings.
Interface for Structural enquiries on projects across concept, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design stages.
Conduct design reviews and QA checks for accuracy and completeness.
Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Interface with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation disciplines.
Potential client-facing work on sites providing technical advice and operational support.
Develop scope of work packages and technical documents for projects.
Review and approve design modifications and provide technical support ahead of construction.
Liaise with Clients to manage needs and expectations.
