Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage an international team responsible for critical Nuclear Island buildings.
  2. Design and analyze reinforced concrete structures for nuclear buildings, including EPR reactors.
  3. Perform structural calculations and finite element modeling using ANSYS or similar software, adhering to standards like Eurocode.
  4. Ensure structural resilience under various loads, including seismic and environmental factors.
  5. Coordinate with detailing, BIM, and technical teams to integrate design requirements.
  6. Assess design changes and propose modifications as needed.
  7. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  8. Support during construction and resolve structural issues on-site.
  9. Mentor junior engineers and draftsmen.
  10. Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  11. Follow CDM regulations in design processes.
  12. Maintain industry knowledge and incorporate new technologies and practices.

About You:

You should have experience in the nuclear or heavy industry, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and proven expertise in structural design, analysis, and compliance with relevant standards. Experience with EPR nuclear projects, seismic design, and structural software like ANSYS is essential. Professional licensure or chartership is advantageous. Knowledge of BIM tools such as TEKLA or Navisworks is a plus.
