What is a Solution Consultant at Salesforce?

Also known as a "Presales Consultant," "Sales Consultant," or "Sales Engineer," the Solution Consultant leads solution evaluation throughout the sales cycle and delivers thought leadership to transform customer experiences. Responsibilities include developing innovative demonstrations and proofs of concept to showcase Salesforce solutions tailored to customer needs. The role requires experience in building multi-product solutions that integrate with existing environments and translating business goals into demonstrable visions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and present innovative customer solutions addressing business issues and demonstrating value.
• Coordinate and manage the entire solution cycle in collaboration with Salesforce product teams.
• Leverage industry experience to develop perspectives based on Salesforce or similar solutions.
• Articulate the benefits of Salesforce to various stakeholders, including IT staff, managers, and executives.
• Create go-to-market propositions reflecting market trends, such as AI benefits.
• Display initiative, self-motivation, and deliver high-quality results.
• Participate in internal training and mentorship programs for career growth.

Personality Attributes/Experience:

• Experience aligned with core competencies, including leadership, military, or volunteer roles.
• Understanding of the Automotive sector, particularly UK OEM and Retailer organizations, for digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of industry trends, challenges, and solutions in Auto OEMs and retail.
• Experience in solution engineering, consultancy, or delivery within enterprise software, preferably in Auto industry backgrounds.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management in dynamic environments.
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills in complex settings.
• Passion for technology and knowledge sharing.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
