Job summary

Snowflake in London is seeking a Principal Solution Engineer for the UK market to help solve our customers' most complex problems and support growth. This is a full-time role within our Solution Engineering team.

You will work directly with account teams and partners to understand needs, demonstrate Snowflake's AI-native platform, and articulate value to both technical and executive audiences during the sales cycle from demo to design and implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern data tech (dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, Git).
• Solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment, or relevant analytics/data engineering.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, on whiteboard or demos.
• Understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems with our solutions.
• Customer-facing communication skills (written and verbal).
• Preferred: Wealth & Asset Management experience.
• Preferred: Python experience.
• Preferred: experience with AI, data science, ML technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with account sales and channel partners to understand customer needs and strategize on support.
• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors.
• Demonstrate value throughout the sales cycle from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
• Create and develop technical champions in accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win.
• Present roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive technologies and position Snowflake effectively.
• Collaborate with other sales engineers to learn from wins and losses and improve together.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing.
• Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events.
• Work with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and collaborate on account strategies.
• Contribute to and help co-develop account and territory plans with the broader ecosystem.
