The Nippon Telegraph And Telephone Corporation (NTT) invites applications for a skilled Data Engineer to lead data pipelines and modern data platforms in London. You will work with Snowflake and cloud-native solutions, delivering end-to-end data ecosystems for client engagements and strategic initiatives.

We seek professionals with hands-on data lifecycle experience, strong SQL/Python skills, and the ability to mentor teams while upholding governance and security best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data engineering and pipeline development on Snowflake and cloud-native platforms.
  • Strong consulting values and ability to collaborate effectively in client-facing environments.
  • Hands-on experience across the data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance and consumption.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams of engineers to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Deep expertise with Snowflake features: warehouses, Snowpark, data sharing and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, Talend or equivalent.
  • Strong SQL and Python (or equivalent) for data manipulation and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Knowledge of data modelling methodologies: star schemas, Data Vault, Kimball and Inmon.
  • Familiarity with data lake architectures and distributed processing (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of data governance, security and compliance frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI/ML workloads is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data pipelines for batch and streaming use cases.
  • Work with Snowflake and cloud data platforms to build and optimize modern data ecosystems.
  • Design and implement data architecture and modelling solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Follow best practices for delivery, governance, quality and security.
  • Help ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable data pipelines aligned to client requirements.
  • Contribute reusable assets and technical leadership to grow the practice.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement in data engineering practices.

  • We require a university degree.
  • A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Core and Advanced are highly desirable.
