What you will be doing and why it matters

As a Principal Engineer at IgluCruise.com, you will own the CRM and operations domains, guiding the evolution of our enterprise platforms and integrating critical business systems.

Your work will include architecting scalable integrations and developing applications that support customer service and operations — essential to our growth and operations.

You will be at the technical core of a business innovating in online cruise booking, an industry full of opportunities and complexities.

Who will I be working with?

You will report to the Director of Engineering and lead two cross-functional Product Teams focused on CRM and operations.

You will collaborate with:

  • The Head of Architecture for technical alignment
  • The Director of Engineering for strategy and team growth
  • The Head of QA for quality standards
  • Lead and Software Engineers in the Product Teams
  • Business stakeholders for technical consultation

Collaboration is key — ensuring technology aligns with business needs and standards of excellence.

What you will own

  • Customer service and sales lead management
  • Back office automation platform
  • Call centre platform
  • Agent Reservations (Configure, Price, Quote, Book)
  • Booking management platform
  • Customer Booking Portal

What we are looking for

  • Contributing to sprint planning and providing architectural guidance
  • Shaping long-term technical vision for bespoke software
  • Serving as a technical advisor to sales and customer service units
  • Deep expertise in application development and enterprise integration (APIs, event-driven design)
  • Proficiency in AWS, SQL, noSQL databases
  • Leading architecture and development decisions
  • Hands-on approach with strategic and practical balance
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve technical issues

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Leadership of engineering or cross-functional teams
  • Designing scalable, high-availability solutions, ideally in e-commerce
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mentoring software developers
  • Extensive experience with C#, MVC, SQL (.NET Framework and .NET Core)
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and business units
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with distributed caching and search technologies
  • Familiarity with TeamCity, Octopus, Bitbucket Pipelines
