Job summary

Morgan Stanley in London is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own the design, development and deployment of the Corporate Credit Derivative technology platform. You will work with trading, strats and COO, translating business needs into robust software and delivering capabilities with a focus on performance, stability and faster time-to-market.

You will lead technically across global teams, mentor developers and leverage Frontier/Agentic AI tools to innovate and guide the ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant software development experience with Java/.Net and OO design.
• Experience delivering across full software life cycle and multiple platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and design.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own capabilities from requirements to deployment and support.
• Lead technically with excellent problem-solving and collaboration across global teams.
• Translate business needs into technical projects for the Corporate Credit Derivative platform.
• Take on management responsibility for developers and contractors as opportunities arise.
