We are currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Engineering Department in New Malden. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments and brings both technical expertise and human understanding—someone who excels in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Work on full life-cycle software development.
2. Support diagnosis and correction of software issues experienced in the field.
3. Participate in AGILE-based development.
4. Participate in code reviews and regular team meetings.
5. Liaise with System Test regarding progress of development tasks.
6. Provide team leadership.

About You

• Strong analytical skills and experience in code and design review for large projects.
• Extensive experience with multi-threaded and distributed applications, preferably with an understanding of network protocols.
• Proven experience in a software development environment (ideally over 8 years).
• Strong experience in developing Windows desktop applications in C#.
• Experience with the .NET environment.
• Experience with Windows Forms.
• Experience with TCP/IP & UDP protocols.
• Collaborative by nature.
• Proactive and adaptable.
• Team player with a growth mindset.
• Problem-solver beyond just coding.
