We are looking for a Principal Software Developer to join our Cambridge, UK team.

Position Overview

A highly skilled C/Python developer to work on a major crypto-security product.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop our full-stack system, including software embedded in HSMs, client-side tools, and API libraries.
2. Lead features from inception to delivery, including design, coding, testing, and review.
3. Coordinate efforts across disciplines and lead by example, mentoring juniors and setting standards.
4. Support the architecture team in feature analysis.

Essential Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, or a relevant discipline.
• 5+ years of large-scale development and design experience on Linux/Windows, CICD, TDD.
• Expertise in C and Python development.
• Experience in full-stack development, from embedded code and drivers to client-side tools and API libraries.
• Familiarity with complex, multi-component projects using multiple development languages.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems innovatively and practically.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with development in regulated industries and software certification.
• Familiarity with open-source software as a licensee or contributor.
• Knowledge of cryptography and/or computer security techniques.
• Experience with Agile and/or SAFe development methodologies.
