The imaging sensors developed at the Chelmsford site have been used on space missions such as the Hubble Telescope, Kepler, GAIA, Mars Rovers, New Horizons, and Rosetta.
Space Imaging is expanding its projects to develop Front End Electronics (FEE) systems for space applications, including CMOS detectors, FEE, FPGA, and Microprocessors, requiring high-quality embedded software and FPGA designs for long-term space missions.
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Teledyne e2v seeks a Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer to lead the creation and oversight of embedded software and FPGA development, verification, and release processes in accordance with ECSS standards, ensuring compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include review processes, documentation, source code reviews, test plan and procedure generation, and participation in hands-on testing and verification.
Required skills include knowledge of high reliability coding standards (MISRA or similar), development standards used in space, aerospace, or defense (preferably ECSS standards), software compliance experience across the development lifecycle, verification of high reliability software, development of verification plans and QA procedures, experience with version control (Git, Subversion), issue tracking (Jira, Redmine), basic C programming, and strong communication skills.
