Job summary

Data Idols is seeking a Principal Software Architect to shape software architecture and engineering practices in a technology-driven SaaS environment. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product and stakeholders, and drive scalable, secure cloud-native solutions.

The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on engineering, influencing technical direction while ensuring the platform remains robust for future growth in a hybrid Milton Keynes setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and delivering high-quality software in modern engineering environments.
• Strong commercial experience with C#, ASP.NET, Azure, React and REST APIs.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, maintainable software architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and Azure services.
• Experience influencing technical strategy and architectural decision making.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices within SaaS or regulated environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practice.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in using AI tools to improve software engineering productivity and delivery.
