Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer - Energy | Expression of Interest, Newcastle upon Tyne

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the UK&I energy sector's transformation, driven by demand, regulation, and sustainability goals.

We are seeking experienced Electrical Design Engineers to join our team and contribute to a diverse range of projects including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, and pump stations. As a Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer, you will oversee all project phases, from feasibility to commissioning, leading electrical design efforts involving generators, control and instrumentation, protection, substations, and transmission lines. Your role includes performing design, modeling, and analysis to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

About You

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with IET
• Experience in the Energy sector or related fields like water or buildings
• Proficient in creating and interpreting design drawings, diagrams, calculations, load schedules, and specifications
• Strong communication skills for technical presentations and collaborative discussions
